Walk-in's always welcome! Screen Door is a restaurant that presents itself as a love letter to the American South and the revival of regional cooking. Each day, the restaurant receives natural, local organic meats and produce from nearby vendors. The inclusion of regional Pacific Northwest ingredients into a menu of dishes developed in the south has created a unique flavor profile in Screen Door's menu. Many of Screen Doors dishes draw their inspiration from Louisiana and the Cajun cooking that's found there. These include our world-famous fried chicken, Lowcountry shrimp and grits, smoked andouille chicken gumbo and fried okra. Other items, like the house-smoked beef brisket and braised pork shoulder, come straight from the state of Texas. I wasn’t really impressed with the seating because I had specifically requested a more intimate setting for my partner and I as we were celebrating our birthdays and we felt like we were right in the middle of other parties both to our left and right and behind. So bummed out they didn’t take that booking information into consideration otherwise everything else was great.

The views from the restaurant are amazing! The table was perfect, just what we needed for our business meeting. The management was very accommodating when I had to add additional seating the day before. The staff showed us exceptional service and was super friendly plus very knowledgeable about the menu. We had an excellent time and will definitely be back!

Fried oysters were great but the popcorn crawfish was pretty well all breading and no crawfish. Crab leg tortellini was excellent as was the NZ Waipahu Sauvignon Blanc
