Travis and Ryan Croxton debut their spinoff from the highly acclaimed Rappahannock Oyster Bar at Union Market in Washington, DC. They’ve even brought their DC Chef, Kevin Kelly, to man the kitchen at this outpost. This location in the historic Cigar Factory Building on East Bay Street, allows room for Chef Kelly to showcase more of his cuisine to a larger audience, including an incredibly unique 40 seat raw bar. Oysters grown by the Croxton’s own Rappahannock Oyster Company are accentuated, but Kelly’s signature dishes like lambs’n’clams, crabcakes, shrimp & grits and the best po’ boy you’ll ever eat are enough reasons in their own right for constant visits. This was our second visit. The grilled oysters were just as delicious! And what an awesome addition-scallops! Grilled scallops with delicious cheese/bacon & jalapeño slice on top. Amazing! My husband and I continued to eat just these two items until our belly’s were full. Yum!!

We had a fabulous experience! Our server was attentive and bubbly. The manager visited our table and made us feel like VIPs. They even came over and gave us a free app since it was our first time! The ambiance was wonderful. Beautifully decorated. I wonderful date night spot or night with the girls. 10/10 we would recommend!

Our meal was top notch, my wife’s bass special was well cooked and nicely seasoned. My duck was the best I have eaten. The escargot appetizer was perfectly seasoned. Our server, Christin, was intuitive in her service and fun to chat with vs as food was brought. Highly recommended.
