The Lexington is more than a restaurant, it’s an institution. Located on the corner of Lexington Parkway and Grand Avenue, this St. Paul community was the most fashionable at the turn of the 19th century. The St. Paul elite lived just blocks away and the first electric trolley brought visitors up and down Grand Avenue. The Lexington opened in 1935, after the end of prohibition, and was a popular neighborhood bar to gather and socialize. An absolute perfect date night. We wanted to do something nice before the holiday craziness and Baldamar delivered. My Italian husband loved the holiday special mozzarella appetizer platter and the extra bread we ordered was perfect. The rhuberry cosmo was a perfect drink not too strong or sweet. We got the brick chicken and prime filet to split between me and my husband for our mains and it was perfection. Our water glasses were never empty, our server was super sweet, the only complaint would be that we couldn’t make room for dessert after all the wonderful food. We will be coming back soon!

Went here with my mom for an early Christmas dinner-- she had the filet, I had the Porterhouse. Both were incredible, with a side of mashed potatoes that were probably the best I've ever had. Highly recommend this place to everyone.
