The service we received was great. The waiter was polite, attentive and very helpful. Couldn't believe it we was offered complementary bread no restaurants offer this. Which was nice to see. The food was what we expected. Only thing is it could of been hotter in heat. But nice food and very tasty. Would definitely go back. My son definitely enjoyed his birthday surprise.

We love the food at S&S and always enjoy coming to the restaurant, however on the last few occasions the service is so hit and miss! The waiters seem so indifferent and not very attentive, the orders are sometimes wrong or forgotten and missed, you have to remind the staff or request little things like plates and water. Overall, the main thing that needs to be improved is the service.

This is true gem in Surbiton and I feel lucky that we have such an exquisite treat on our door steps. The food was exquisite and the service is impeccable and I think very fair in price and value. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this place as everything about it is really special. The people who look after you are knowledgable and personable and nothing is too much trouble. You get excellent advice on pairing wines to go with your dishes and the whole experience is effortless and memorable. Have been doing an annual trip for Christmas for a few years now and have been on the odd ocassion at other times and will continue to do this as each time the experience is amazing.

Such a great choice of fried and grilled fish, we had lobster and chips, cooked to perfection. And a nice bottle of wine to accompany the dinner.

We opted for the seasonal set menu….it was delicious. The Turkey Ballotine and the shepherds pie was delicious, my husband really enjoyed the shepherds pie saying it was rich & full of meat. I was going to order the snowman pudding which was served under a cloche and when lifted, wafted smoke/ dry ice …… love the theatre but it looked quite big so we went for the chocolate bomb …. delicious. Really lovely restaurant, the staff are all very friendly and the whole place was very festive. Lastly, it was our wedding anniversary… when we’d finished our meal our server came over with a chocolate profiterole with Happy Anniversary written on a chocolate square… lovely little touch. We would definitely come back here…. we really enjoyed our experience.
