The Still on the Mountain Craft Cocktail Bar & Restaurant offers a full range of craft cocktails and Vermont beer and cider, as well as a full dinner menu. Home to Vermont’s finest craft spirits, enjoy our handcrafted small batch spirits inspired from the blissful Killington region. Sit outside après ski or bike, or enjoy our cozy pub or dining rooms with a view of Killington. Our patio seating is first come first serve and is dog friendly. Gondolas can not be rented through Open Table. Please call 802-422-8200. Rental rates are $50 Mon, Tues, Wed; $75 Thurs, Sun; and $100 Fri, Sat in addition to any food and beverages. They are private, seat six, are heated when needed, and include full table service for 2.5 hrs in the afternoon or the evening.     We have been to this restaurant a few times before but were disappointed this time. My husband ordered a drink I think it was called air mail and it was very small for the price. My husband and daughter ordered the grilled cheese and tomato soup. My husband enjoyed it but the tomato soup was a tiny portion served in a small cup. He was expecting a bowl of soup. It was pricey at $20. My daughter didn’t realize the grilled cheese had mushrooms which she didn’t like so she took them all out. I had the eggplant sandwich which was very good. The service was slow maybe not many staff on due to the holiday weekend. Overall we probably won’t be back.

    We've been dining here since the year it opened. Consistently great service and food. The entire staff is very helpful, professional and friendly. Today Rebecca was our server and she was fantastic. Immediately took our drink order and was right back with them. She gave us just the right amount of time to decide our food order. Mrs. B had the Rueben Sandwich with fries and I had the burger with cheese, also with fries. The food was perfectly prepared, the fries delicious. The service was perfect throughout. This is a very well managed restaurant!

    We’ve had some inconsistent experiences at the River. Really enjoyed it when they first opened, awesome chicken wings app (large sized pieces), good clean food. Seemed like it went downhill after Covid, trouble finding good/experienced staff, food was disappointing. Our food was much better this time, burgers cooked as ordered, fries weren’t greasy/soggy, and our server seemed knowledgeable. Gripes: the salmon dish is underwhelming for the price, the rice that came with it was bland. Also the desserts were mediocre, cheesecake and mousse layer cake were cold and the cheesecake didn’t seem homemade. Overall, though, better than previous recent visits, and hopefully things are on the upswing!
