Restaurants near Hoosier Inn- Portland

Our server did an outstanding job celebrating our wedding day with us. The food was amazing and the speed everything came out at was perfect!

Had a reservation for 7:15, arrived early enough for a drink at the bar. Great service and tasty mixed drinks; I especially liked Hayden’s Special Sidecar. Dinner was in a small front room with three tables; however one was a large party of 12-15 people so it was a bit louder than expected. The crab cakes, filet and ribeye were delicious, my date was doubtful it would live up to the price point, but even he stated that dinner exceeded his expectations. Parking was clearly marked in a private lot, restaurant was beautifully decorated with prohibition- style music playing.

I would like thank you for the wonderful stay. I am , for the first time, going to make a recommendation. My wife and I had a 6:30 reservation , we we arrived at the bar for a cocktail just before 6 O'clock. I waited about 25 min in a line of just 2 people, the bartender completely ignored me several times as I and another customer waited patiently. after 25 minutes it became embarrassing. So I just left with no drinks. This is the second time this has happened at your bar. All other services were extraordinary and perfect. Thanks for listening. See ya next time. Loved the atmosphere and the food was delicious. Waitress and staff were friendly. However, the jambalaya was a 1/4 of the size of all the other entrees at our table. It was like eating sauce and rice. There were a total of 5 very tiny pieces of seafood and nothing else in the sauce.

Had the best experience, the place was incredibly busy but our appetizer and meal were both on time just perfect and we had the best service !!!
