Restaurants near Hickory Number 1 Mine Station

Excellent meal - best food quality in State College in a beautiful setting. Cocktails and bartender were top notch. Only complaint was feeling rushed through the meal. Despite ordering cocktails, apps, entree and after dinner drinks, we were served everything in less than 50 minutes. If this was lunch I’d appreciate that but for a nice dinner, it’s never enjoyable to have the waiter hovering to grab your order and then stacking the food to come out 5 minutes apart. Overall, though, a wonderful restaurant and we will be back!

Great charm but the chairs need to be replaced - just not comfortable and too small. We really enjoyed the pretzels, filet, and crab cakes. We don’t recommend the clam chowder. Service was good. We will come back.

The Tavern is my favorite restaurant in State College. Out server Celest was outstanding and charming. Make this your go to place, it’s excellent!!

Great dinner 1st timer as we were heading to a college football game at State College.

Our Thanksgiving dinner at Red Lobster was nice. The food was very good and the waiter was good.
