Since we opened this camp 25 years ago, we have focused upon fresh foods for our guests. We know it is difficult to find good meals on the road, especially if you are vegan and vegetarian, and invite you to join us.You will smell the foods before you walk in, but will see entree's like baby back pork ribs, samosas, ribeye steaks, moussaka, vegan ramen and steamed saffron mussels through our open kitchen. We make easy to assemble fresh bag lunches for the trail, and specialty lunch items for indoor and outdoor dining. Beside items like American breakfast and breakfast burritos you will find signature items like our California breakfast too! All this from fresh, mainly regional sourced, sustainable and some organic healthy foodstuffs. We invite you to peek into some online reviews in advance. Good was fantastic! Service was excellent! We sat in a pod outside on the patio, which was a great experience. Our own little dining room which was quiet and peaceful. Wonderful dining experience with our family.

The service was excellent. The ambiance was extraordinary. The selections for the breakfast buffet were adequate, but were lukewarm. $34 is a little pricey for just an average buffet, especially at the Ahwahnee.

We often seek out restaurants owned by Top Chef contestants and winners during our travels, so we’ve had the privilege of enjoying some incredible meals. It’s no exaggeration to say that the food at the Mountain Room is on par with those high-caliber establishments. The trout, in particular, was outstanding—beautifully prepared and bursting with flavor. If you’re visiting, don’t miss it!
