The typical Dutch cosiness means in countries around the Mediterranean 'together'. Taking time for each other around a table full of small dishes and enjoy a glass of wine. Each ordered an average of 3 or 4 dishes per person and then everything on the table is shared socialising. Our chef roams the market looking for seasonal products and likes to combine local produce with Mediterranean spices. In Jottum is preferably cooked with organic, fair trade, and fresh produce.

I am a regular here now. The food is really good and tasty couldn't be better. The menu takes me out of my comfort zone as I usually end up with dish as as generally plain eater that I am not famiilar with. But I am never disappointed with what I order and I go for the 4 courses and wine. For me as a long time Irish resident in Amsterdam who eats out quite regularly. This place has the best food in Amsterdam and is competitively priced. The ambiance is a bit disappointing the dining seats are far apart so it makes a private conversation a little more difficult. But as long as your only there to make small talk with each other who cares. As the Chef is top class.

Great place to bring your partner/friends for an evening meal. Food was good as was the service albeit I thought the wine was a bit pricey. £40 euros for an everyday Pinot Griego was a bit heavy I thought and all other wines were more. Nonetheless, well worth a visit and I'd go back if I visited Amsterdam again.
