- DDeborahVIPHawaii •4 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoTina was a great server, especially bc the place was so busy by 5:30. She brought more water for me before I asked for more, noticing my glass was empty and making sure no ice went in it, and she found time to laugh at my husband's banter! The sound level is always an issue for TB if you get there after 5:30. Otherwise first rate food. Presentation could be a bit enhanced, as several plates lacked color contrast. Flavors of everything were splendid. This is one of the most reliably excellent restaurants on the island.More infoTommy Bahama Restaurant & Bar - Mauna Lani, Big IslandPrice: Expensive• Hawaii Regional Cuisine• Kamuela•4.7
- RRichardVIPSeattle / Eastern Washington •24 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoLast night we had a fish special, kampachi with lobster, that is probably one of the best dishes we’ve ever eaten in Hawaii. The wine list is extensive and expensive but fairly priced. View is lovely and staff very friendly (thank you Michael) and attentive. Expensive overall but well worth it!More infoMeridiaPrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• Kohala Coast•4.6
- MMeganMinneapolis - St. Paul •3 reviews5.0Dined on Jan 17, 2025Dining at Engawa is akin to dining at the owners’ home. They take so much care of their guests. Food and drinks were beautifully presented and tasted delicious. There was a lovely melding of Hawaiian and Japanese ingredients. I was grateful for the chef’s willingness to accommodate my gluten restriction. We enjoyed learning about the sake brewing process and tasting several different ones. The golf course at sunset provided a beautiful backdrop. The pacing is relaxed. It is dinner as an experience and is likely best for diners willing to try new things and savor them.More infoEngawa by Islander Sake BreweryPrice: Very Expensive• Japanese• Kohala Coast•4.8
