Buon Gusto means ‘good taste’ in Italian. We strive to bring you the ‘good taste’ of Italy in all aspects of our restaurant. Located in the historic Victoria Hotel building in St. George’s Square in Downtown Guelph, Buon Gusto is warm and casual with exposed stone walls and a contemporary interior design. Our wood-burning oven, made in Reggello, Tuscany is ‘il cuore’ (the heart) of Buon Gusto. We import molino caputo tipo 00 flour and San Marzano tomatoes from Italy, to make our pizzas in the traditional Neapolitan thin-crust style, hearth-baking them at 900 degrees Fahrenheit for just 90 seconds.     The service was excellent, attentive but not intrusive. An example is the server bringing coffee after the meal with our being reminded. The noise level was very reasonable until a noisy group sat beside us at a very close table. The meals were tasty, large portions, attractively served but the pasta could have been a bit saucier and hotter. All in all, dining at Buon Gusto was a lovely experience. I like how the entry is set up so the cold (or hot) air is blocked from entering.

    Great food. Service was great. We sat in the bar side which seems a lot more cozier and comfortable than the other side. The other side seems like a diner. The 2 different spaces don’t seem to connect. The place probably needs a revamp inside but the food was great !
