Restaurants near Hampton Inn & Suites Chicago/Aurora

We ere enjoying family from out of town. My father in-law order a dish he did not like and not only did the restaurant replace it with a dish of another choice they did not charge him for his main dish. The food / service especially with the owner was outstanding. One of our favorite restaurants and will continue to go back again. Thank you

Salmon over cooked. Fish tacos did not have fresh taste or crisp. They have been better.

Wow! I can’t say enough good things about Giardino. From the service to the food to the cocktails, everything was phenomenal. The flavors were perfection and complemented each other in such a good way. The ambiance in the restaurant was cheerful and bright—definitely will be such a compliment to this beautiful city. Downtown Aurora has needed a concept like this for a long time and Giardino did not miss the mark. The meatballs were so flavorful, the burrata and prosciutto—chefs kiss! We had three pizzas and two different pastas, all of which were so delicious. I am so so happy that this gem is right in downtown Aurora. I can’t wait to come back again!

I went for my birthday on a Wednesday night. Not very busy but that was actually nice to me. Great ambiance. Food and cocktails were good! Our waiter was awesome. He let my fiance sample the wine before committing to which one he wanted which not many people do. they also gave us a sake shot and dessert for my birthday!

Our first time at Altira after a Paramount theater matinee. It was a perfect post-play site for dinner: Only a 5 walk from The Stolp, and about 2 minutes from Copley & Paramount. The staff was friendly and competent, the food arrived quickly, and the quality was excellent. The menu offers a variety of main courses, tapas, and tacos. Everything is a la carte, so when order tacos, a side dish or salad would be wise. Taco choices come with four small tacos, each different. Small, but very filling. And delicious. The guacamole comes with 3 fairly small scoops, which could be bigger, but they are all creatively fun. We shared our mango salad (also creative and tasty), and although we both love salad, this one was larger than we could eat and could be split between 3 people. The prices are reasonable (but less expensive than comparable Chicago restaurants). The only minor down-side: The noise level by our table was a bit too loud for normal conversation, but mostly because we were sitting directly below one of the speakers. It was fine a few tables away. A shorter version of this review: We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and ambience, and Altira will be our stop after future plays. There's a great variety of unique options on the menu, and it will be fun to explore as many as we can.
