Haikan is our second Sapporo Ramen shop in DC after Daikaya. Haikan means, “pipe works” in Japanese, an ode to Atlantic Plumbing Building where we are located. At Haikan, we focused on creating the taste of ramen from the showa period, the golden age of ramen in Japan. This was probably the best experience I’ve had at Old Ebbitt Grill. We got seated in the bar area, which was warm and comforting on a cold, snowy night. Our waiter was awesome…incredible competent with just the right amount of sass. The food was amazing…everything we ate was delicious. And the company was wonderful. I can’t wait for others to come into town to take them here.

Letena was a winner from start to finish. The servers were friendly and helpful, the food was delicious and well-presented and the ambiance was just right. We got the veggie sampler and our granddaughter ordered the beef tips. Both were outstanding. Bravo!

Looking for exceptional fresh Persian food with spot on service and great art work this is your place . Authentic family recipes cooked by the chef that celebrates his family heritage with love and soul! Loved the steak/marinated tender chicken and sides, family braised chicken recipe in a pomegranate sauce over rice. Will return when we are back in town for sure!
