- GGigiChicago / Illinois •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoThe minute we walked in, they made us feel VIP. We celebrated a milestone birthday and requested a window view of the Chicago River. They accommodated and provided special birthday touches. A card and free dessert with a candle included. The best was the food. - MMelissaVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •3 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoOur dinner at Prime & Provisions was outstanding. We started with handcrafted cocktails, each made with a special twist. Our server Drew was exceptional. He was attentive and engaging, explaining the menu and making sure our glasses were never empty (including our teen who was enjoying Shirley Temples). Our food was superb. My husband and one of our daughters enjoyed steaks, another daughter and I went with the Dover sole with the most delicious beurre blanc sauce, and our youngest enjoyed an off menu hamburger that Drew told her about. The sides were a hit as well - the mashed potatoes should not be missed! We ended the evening with the sundae cart and the banana cream pie. My only complaint of the evening was that we waited 25 minutes after our reservation time to be seated. We had cocktails while we waited, but 25 minutes seemed a bit long to have to wait. After 15 minutes I expect a restaurant to offer a small apology - comp an app, offer an amuse bouche, just something to acknowledge the inconvenience. Once we were seated the wait time was quickly forgotten and we had a wonderful night.More infoPrime & Provisions SteakhousePrice: Moderate• Steakhouse• River North (Chicago)•4.7

Loved the salmon and tuna apps; clam chowder, and Caesar salad. Entrees were excellent: halibut, miso cod, tuna all expertly prepared and seasoned. Whipped potatoes and mushroom sides were very good Loved our server and they comped us for a great chocolate gelato and mousse desserts. We will be back in the future for celebration events!More infoRPM SeafoodPrice: Very Expensive• Seafood• River North (Chicago)•4.6
- CCarlaChicago / Illinois •18 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoWalnut Room Holiday Brunch was fantastic. Of course the Christmas decorations are amazing. Service was very good. The wait staff professional and accommodating. The brunch lines were not long and food fresh. They served the typical breakfast foods with pastries and fresh fruit. All very good. There were complimentary photos with option to purchase others. I have to say photographer Ronit Bezalel did an amazing job capturing my husband and me. I expected the traditional stand in front of the tree type photo, but Ronit was much more creative. Don’t pass this up if offered. A great holiday breakfast. - DDanielVIPChicago / Illinois •9 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoHad a great experience backed by solid service (a server we had before, I believe her name was Visjna? She was fantastic) and hospitable management team who went out of their way to customized a menu header for my guests birthday. Consistent dishes as always. The special however (short rib mushroom sugo) I would recommend adding more salt. Being a fat-rich dish, the meat and sauce screamed for salt. The only callout I would point to is the underhanded 3.5% service charge on the check which instead of adding that towards the end, the restaurant should really just work this into their menu pricing.More infoPizzeria PortofinoPrice: Expensive• Italian• River North (Chicago)•4.8
