The toast of the Texas coast. How can frozen fish be called fresh? The answer for anyone with snap is simple: it can’t. That’s why Gaido’s is the classic choice for fresh Gulf seafood. Patrons know Gaido’s is real, when others are clearly not. From red snapper and blue crab to white tablecloths crumbed with panache, there’s no denying Gaido’s is one-of-a-kind in a world of imitation. Now, after four generations of filleting, frying, grilling and baking, Gaido’s has grown into the picture perfect place of traditions– birthdays, anniversaries, retirements, reunions. As the largest fresh fish house on the coast, Gaido’s can serve up to 2,500 happy diners a day. Plus, with the Pelican Club, private dining, catering, a new food truck and parking galore…it’s easy to see why Gaido’s -– for over 100 years – is truly the coastal classic.

Great experience ! Excellent oysters .. Stuffed Shrimp and Soft shell crabs were outstanding ! The pecan crunch a must try dessert as well as the bread pudding . All this in a quite relaxed dinning room served and a leisurely pace. about 1.5 - 2 hours . Broad wine selection at very reasonable markup . All in all ... a memorable experience for a memorable occasion . We highly recommend

Always the same amazing food and atmosphere. I hate it though because the calamari is so amazing and the bread and the plantains that I am always to full to eat one of their amazing entrees! Good thing for to go boxes!

Had been wanting to try this restaurant after seeing it on Food Network. It was amazing. We sat on the patio with the 50s temperature and the outdoor heaters kept us cozy and comfortable. I tried the boudain balls, snapper wings, broiled platter, fried snapper and shrimp platter. All were very good. Especially enjoyed the snapper wings. If you can deal with bones and fins you will enjoy!!! The shrimp and the snapper were the best and freshest. I look forward to returning.

We had fun. I thought it was noisy, but my daughter said it was noisier on the Pleasure Pier and FishTales was quiet in comparison. Our waitress was fun and hardworking. The food was good, but great is still out there. We’ve been eating out every night since Dec. 23rd as family is coming in from all over at different times. And each place we went to I ordered a Balvenie Doublewood and after dinner the Bread Pudding. FishTales had no Balvenie and the bread pudding ranked at the bottom. But, we really had a good time and my fettuccine was just swell.
