Mrs. Maria and their two sons along with the executive chef create authentic recipes from all over Greece, like grape leaves, the famous lamb "kleftiko", cheese pie with honey & Greek kebab “Sheftalia”. Kosmikon is one of the oldest restaurants in the area of Plaka in Athens underneath of the Acropolis. The building has been constructed around the year 1850.The main aim was to respect the history of the building. Gloria Gati is the new restaurant of chef George Papakostas who jokingly refers to Gloria as the older sister of Vittoria Gati, another famous restaurant of his in Glyfada. Gloria is located in a historic building in the Athens center just 50 meters from Syntagma square. It is defined by an eclectic vintage design in a very cosy space where the pizza oven takes center stage. The bar serves award winning cocktails and over 100 wines from Greece and around the globe. The menu is Italian with a focus on homemade pasta and quality meats. The pizza is made from a 1937 sourdough and baked in a traditional oven imported from Naples. Some of the signature dishes include the steak tartare, arancini bolognese, the raviolo cacio pepe, the reginette al tartufo for truffle lovers as well as pollo francese and the ossobuco which is cooked for 12 hours. A tiramisu is a must here accompanied by a single estate espresso. Outside seating is available all year round in the courtyard of St George church

I visited THE BOTANY and my experience was simply flawless. The food was excellent, with careful dishes, fresh ingredients and unique flavors. The service was excellent, with polite and helpful staff who made sure we didn't miss anything. The place is beautiful, clean and with a nice atmosphere that creates a very pleasant experience. I will definitely go again and highly recommend!

Nice location on a corner . Very attentive wait staff . Souvlaki and Gyro ordered with the spinach salad … good food and great portions . Negroni was fabulous
