When visiting the restaurant, patrons descend 18 feet underground in a canopied glass elevator, accessed from street level, for a culinary experience unlike any other. The American Steakhouse offers an expansive 1,800 square foot subterranean courtyard allowing patrons to dine al fresco and enjoy a New Orleans-inspired exterior space. This cool oasis is complete with a 20 foot, 5-tiered granite water wall, multi-tiered landscaping, lava rock fire pit, and black granite bar. Dakota's below-ground patio has long been considered one of the city's most romantic dining spots.We believe the best steaks come from the best cut and quality. That’s why we get all of our beef fresh from renowned beef purveyors, Allen Brothers. Each cut is corn and grain fed USDA Prime steak that our chef handpicks.     This was my first time eating at Dakotas and it did not disappoint. I researched several steakhouses in Dallas where I could celebrate my birthday with friends and this one had great detailed reviews including reviews about Brian so I was so thankful he ended up being our server. He was so kind, patient and knowledgeable about the menu! He made this dining experience even more lovely. Will definitely be back and will ask for Brian!

    This is our second time going to Montage and it has always been amazing. We went to celebrate our anniversary and we appreciate all the great quality of service which makes us feel special in celebrating our moment. Food was excellent from appetizer to dessert and even drinks. Our favorite is the half roasted chicken. We will for sure go back again.

    This has been a favorite place for us to visit when we have something to celebrate. We had family from out-of-town, and friends who joined to make a party of 8 people. We were placed in the private room which made us feel special. The food was the star. Our waiter Edis was very helpful and friendly, and we appreciated how attentive he was. The restaurant was great about a special diet which was very nice. It is not a budget place - but it will remain high on our list for special occasions.
