Restaurants near First Capitol Historic Site

Grace was an excellent waitress…what a great personality and was so thorough. We had the today’s special pasta with a slightly spicy Italian sausage…wow was that GREAT! I had lasagna and that also hit the mark. Great meal and we were cared for oh so well. Great experience!

One of my favorite places in Galena. Food and service are always phenomenal! We had a reservation for Valentine's dinner. Our table was beautifully set and ready when we arrived. Jody was very attentive and took very good care of us.

Woodfire is a bit more expensive, so it's usually a special occasion that brings us out. Valentine's Day is a special occasion, right?! What can I say - our waiter (Danny) was super! The special ribeye steak, salad, sides, and desert were exceptional. Delicious as always. Thanks for making a special occasion that much more special.

As usual, superior food, service, and ambiance. It continues to be the best Galena has to offer. We will return again and again. Our compliments to the Chef, the kitchen staff, the servers, and of course, the owner, Fred Bonnet for another excellent dining experience. Even though the reservation was made more than 2 weeks ago and we could only get a 3:00 time slot— that was no big deal. We got a fantastic table on the 2nd floor, our server was a delight and very helpful, our food was incredible— just an all around wonderful Valentines Day “linner” (lunch/dinner)! It’s really no wonder it’s hard to get a table; this place is our favorite!
