Run by experienced couple Simon & Charlie alongside our team of staff we are the perfect place to sit back and enjoy our delicious menu with your favourite drink in hand. Excellent meal on Christmas Eve , the waiter was lovely , smiley , happy and nothing too much trouble - a rare find! Food was gorgeous as well as the ambience . Thankyou cut and craft for making our Christmas Eve special :)

Afternoon tea in Betty’s Belmont Room - what a lovely way to spend Christmas Eve. Scrummy food, plentiful refills, relaxing piano playing and absolutely exceptional service from all staff but in particular from Anne who looked after us so well. Thank you everyone.

This has become a popular venue for us and we have eaten at the Star 3 times in the last 6 months. Great location for all times of the year. The staff are efficient and professional and the menu has some good choices. Portions are a good size and there is a great wine list too.
