Four of us had lunch at the Cellar House today, and all of us were very happy with the food, the service and the ambience. The staff were friendly and helpful. Most importantly for us they were able to cater for special dietary requirements including gluten free and vegan options. We were all very impressed and will be returning for more lovely food. Even the coffee was good.

Business lunch, family occasion, date or night out with friends - it's perfect all round. I can imagine the terrace is lovely in the summer.

We took my Mum here for her birthday lunch and we all had a fantastic time. Food, service, ambience were excellent. Can’t thank you all enough for making Mums birthday so special.

Had a fantastic birthday meal with my family this evening. Everyone was great from arrival to leaving. I'm sure one lady never goes home as she is always in when we eat during the day too. This was our first evening visit. Food was always hot and plentiful. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for my cake and the singing. I look forward to seeing you all again soon.

The service was polite, friendly and professional as always. My friend and I had a pot of tea each. I enjoyed cheese scones with a delicious apple chutney and wedge of chesse. My friend had an enormous slice of carrot cake which she delcared moist and extremely tasty. The general ambience and decor is wonderful, esepcially beautiful with all the Christmas decorations. The Assembly House Hotel recently catered for a gathering to celebrate my late mother's life. Again the service and attention to detail was just wonderful. The food was delicious and we were extremely well looked after. I would thoroughly recommend The Assembly House for any occasion. You will not be disappointed.
