Few places exceed expectations set for a newer restaurant but this was my experience on my first dinner at La Grande Boucherie. Filled to capacity for Thanksgiving, the service didn't suffer, the wine list well matched to the menu, and the food was perfectly prepared. The steak melts in your mouth, the French onion soup better than Paris, and oysters fresh, plump, and perfectly chilled. Outstanding. But nothing prepares you for the breathtaking ambiance! The sweeping staircase, magnificent Beaux Arts interior- you might think you're in Paris!

My sister and I had an amazing Thanksgiving experience here. We ordered the Filet and Tail and we could not have been any happier. Victor took great care of us and ensured we had all that we needed and more. He was kind, attentive, and recommended items to us to try. My steak was cooked perfectly along with my lobster tail, but the Rockefeller Oysters stole the show. The ambiance was decadent, much like the delicious sweet potato pecan pie. I enjoyed the seasonal gin and tonic, while my sister delighted over the Bourbon Smash---the bartender did not disappoint. I did not catch her name, but we chatted for a few about various gins and bourbons. Although this was a busy day for the staff, they handled it with grace and the kitchen staff--- I mean, they really showed out. Not a dirty plate to be noted, portion sizes were consistent with the price, and special care and attention to plating was noticed. I will certainly return! If you get the chance, ask for Victor. He's phenomenal!

We live in Los Angeles, CA and it's our first time in DC. We had Thanksgiving Day dinner at The Hamilton and it was perfect. Our waitress, Ash, was patient and attentive. Food serving portions were generous and tasty. The ambience and decor is modern yet classic, simply wonderful.

Filomena does not disappoint! Always perfectly cooked pasta, chicken and seafood. The place is already decorated for Christmas which makes it quite an experience with a polar bear dressed in his best and Santa not to mention all the streamers and stuff hanging from the ceiling. No place like it. Only downside is they fill the place up and it gets tight and warm down in that basement. A must for any trip to DC and Georgetown!

Wow, as advertised, great host, server, manager!!!! The food we ordered was all superb!!! Crab cake to start, wife ordered the meatloaf, I had the short rib stroganoff. We had reservations and thankful we thought ahead, the 1330 lunch rush was visible on the weekend. I ordered a bloody mary, only portion of the meal which I thought lacked attention. Manager passed by the table and was very nice!!! Thank you for the Carrot cake, it was phenomenal. Highly would recommend and glad we came!!!
