Restaurants near Custer Park

My wife and I were there on a Friday evening for the first time and it totally exceeded our expectations. The barramundi with risotto was world class, in fact it was one of the best dishes we’ve ever had and that includes the finest restaurants all over the world!

We traveled in from Columbus, Ohio to see family. We enjoyed our visit very much. The food was delicious. The ambiance was great. Only complaint was our waiter. He acted annoyed by me asking questions about the food (I have a gluten-related medical condition and my daughter has special needs). Our server moved on to take my brother-in-law’s order and commented to him “alright, good, that was simple” as if my questions were an inconvenience.

Jack Pandl’s is a classic and I’m so happy it’s still around! The atmosphere is quite lovely and the place is super charming. The wait staff was very attentive, was well-versed in the menu and could make recommendations, and very pleasant. Food was good and portions were large enough that three out of four diners had leftovers. We treated ourselves to dessert, including the strawberry schaum torte, chocolate mousse pie, and apple strudel. The chocolate mousse was the best and I highly recommend. The others were good, but the mousse stood out. I thought the prices were reasonable for what we ordered and look forward to going back soon. 

The service and food were great, will definitely go back.
