- AanthonyVIPNew York City •71 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoThe food is exceptional. There’s something for everyone even if fish isn’t your favorite dish. There’s something filet mignon is better than that found in steakhouses. The chicken parm is phenomenal. There’s a delicious burger on the menu. The “worst” thing about Max Fish is trying to make a decision because everything is made to perfection! I’m never disappointed and I’ll say it’s the best restaurant in the Max Group!More infoMax Fish - GlastonburyPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Glastonbury•4.7
- PPaulNew York City •4 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoBefore coming here I heard they had great steaks/food. I also read it was ranked as a top steakhouse in CT. Expectations were met. I would highly recommend. The steaks were perfectly cooked. Our waitress was also great. She explained the menu, all the way down to the different butters, kept our drinks full, and even though we didn’t order desert brought a nice treat with a birthday candle. It was very nice and great customer service.More infoJ. Gilbert’s – Wood Fired Steaks & Seafood – GlastonburyPrice: Expensive• Steak• Glastonbury•4.8
- JJaneVIPNew York City •86 reviews4.0Dined 4 days agoWe drive 90 minutes to come here. It was my friend's birthday, and this is one of the few places she can have King Crab and fried clams. They are market price, but the portions are large in comparison to other places, or even in the grocery store. Our server, Bonnie, was so friendly and efficient. It was lunch time but they let us order from any of the 3 menus: lunch, early bird, dinner. Between the 3 of us, we had King Crab with baked potato, the Poseidon Adventure, which was a variety of seafood over linguine, and appetizer orders of fried belly clams, steamed clams, and chowders. All great, except the steamers were a bit sandy, even after rinsing them in the broth, and the seafood/linguini was a bit heavy on the garlic. Other than that, the salad and veggies that come with the meal was also very good, and although too full for the fruit basket, we did take it home. The atmosphere and decor fit the venue and the people are very friendly and accommodating. The place may need a little updating, but not important when the food and service is great. Will be back later in the year for sure.More infoThe Saybrook Fish HousePrice: Expensive• Seafood• Glastonbury•4.8
