Restaurants near Comfort Suites - Sarasota / Clark Station

There are so many restaurants in Sarasota. So many of them good, most not great. Violetta is great. Vitello Tonnato, fois gras, spaghetti with shrimp and uni, ravioli stuffed with osso buco, and many traditional but not boring Italian cuisine, all executed perfectly. Well curated wine list and attentive, professional service makes for a perfect evening. I highly recommend this lovely restaurant for any occasion.

Fabulous as always. The oven roasted salmon was a wonderful offering of roasted salmon and refreshing salad.

Wasn't the best visit we had. Came for dinner and a birthday all in the same day. No concessions made for the birthday, yet when we eat there we see others get a candle and a slice if cake and they make a big deal of the birthday. I even left the comment in the reservation about a birthday. It was my grandmothers 81st birthday and her first time eating there. She wasn't impressed and it was a bit disappointing since she had been wanting to go there for a long time. They live in Ocala and made the trip. Needless to say, not the experience we are accustomed to at Ophelia's after all these years.

It was very busy, so it was a little loud for the older people in our group to be able to hear. However, very nice atmosphere and surroundings. Our overall experience was "good" based on the wait staff was good, but not exceptional. IE: the waitress spilled our over-filled drink on the table when she delivered it and didn't brink beverage napkin, we waited a too long for empty glasses or dishes to be cleared, etc. Not enough to deter us from coming back! The food was exceptional.

Our lunches were delicious as always. The server was outstanding. My ONLY complaint is that they keep the background music too loud. Makes it hard to talk. We did ask them to please turn it down but they didn’t. I go to lunch with friends to socialize- not to listen to music.
