We were absolutely enchanted by the restaurant. We celebrated my wife’s birthday, and they were very accommodating and even surprised us with a wonderful treat. Our 3 young children were a bit loud, but the staff were so kind. We loved our experience.

We had a lovely dinner here, loved the decor, great menu with so many choices. Particularly liked the bacon lollies, cornbread skillet and the fried chicken salad. The banana split for dessert was a big hit with the kids! Our waiter was really nice and informative, giving great suggestions and was very knowledgeable about the menu

I love this place. I came with a group of 12 of my friends for a bday celebration and we were all satisfied with the service (Tony was our amazing waiter), the drinks and especially the food. I don't think we have been anywhere where we have all been this satisfied. After dinner on the 1st floor, we went upstairs to enjoy the DJ and had a few more drinks and had a great time. I loved it so much that I went back last night and guess what? It was even better than I remembered!! I can't wait to come back to enjoy the outside patio and happy hour.

Had not been to J. Gilbert’s for several years (we now live across the river in MD). We had a very nice meal. The place was hopping, but our service was prompt and staff was very friendly, especially our waiter Brian; noise level was not a problem, even with all of the surrounding tables occupied. Nice beer and wine choices and a lot to choose from on the menu. Valet service, which is a must cuz that parking lot is always full. Definitely recommend.
