Instead, you’ll need to text a special code to a number on the wall and a host will open the door and usher you inside. Holding fewer than 60 guests, it’s this old world ambience that sets Coal & Cedar apart from Newcastle’s bar scene.Ethan and Ryan are the team behind the venture. In 2014, they packed their bags and moved from Sydney to the state’s largest regional city to work on their new dream bar. The brisket burger was one of the best I've had, pork ribs were great fell off the bone and the fryes were crispy. Nice selection of beers. Was almost full when we left, for an industrial building the noise inside is minimal compared to some other venues. Service was quick and friendly by the young staff. Will highly recommend to friends.

Birthday Brekky - smashed avo not too big and very nice. Partner had make your own - mushroom, tomato and scrambled egg - not to big and very tasty. Coffee spot on with a beautiful view of the ocean 🏖️ highly recommend One80 🙌🏻

We had a lovely family dinner and were impressed by the service. The waitress was really accommodating of our messy toddler, offering thoughtful suggestions for kid-friendly options. The whole family enjoyed the meal, but it was especially wonderful for our coeliac daughter, who loved the great gluten-free options available. Thank you!
