In 1998, Buddy Guindon, his wife Katie, and his brother Kenny opened Katie's Seafood Market in Galveston, Texas. For more than 20 years now, Katie's Seafood Market has provided the highest quality of products available to its customers. The majority of seafood comes from local fishermen and shrimpers, including Red Snapper, Grouper, Golden Tile Fish, Flounder, Oysters, Shrimp, and Blue Crabs. A producer contacted Guindon in the hopes of doing a reality show about his family business. In 2015, the reality show 'Big Fish Texas' came to life on National Geographic. As a supporter of the local economy, In September of 2019, Buddy opened Katie’s Seafood House, next to the market. Katie’s seafood market supplies the restaurant with all fresh seafood. We had been here before and it was wonderful. Our second experience was also very good. The charro bean soup was amazing. Raw oysters were delicious. Seafood platter and catfish were delicious. The service was excellent. A great selection for anyone.

As always Jon Paul and Jared were Most gracious Host. Brandon showed Expertise as our waiter as the Restaurant was full of Celebrations of the Holidays. Food Quality was 10/10! Love the Piano Christmas music while dining. Thanks Keney Smith.

Delicious meal and an extensive menu. So fresh. The restaurant was packed but our service was outstanding. Highly recommended but do yourself a favor and make reservations ahead of time. We did and were so glad. There were SO many people waiting and we were able to waltz right in and get our table.
