- JJeffreyVIPWashington, D.C. Area •16 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoWe just dined at Ambar for the first time yesterday evening. The reception was warm and friendly, the service was excellent, and the food was amazing. We are adventurous eaters, but we had never eaten Balkan food before. Everything we ate (from the lamb lasagna and beef short rib goulash to the roasted baby carrots and beet tzatziki) was absolutely delicious. The “Unlimited Dinner Ambar Experience” is definitely the way to go. There’s no doubt we will be returning customers!More infoAmbar Capitol HillPrice: Moderate• Balkan style• Capitol Hill•4.7
- AAnthonyWashington, D.C. Area •1 review5.0Dined 5 days agoClassy dining experience. Waiter had a suit on. This ain’t no Applebees, it’s fine dining as it should be. The food was delectable and the smoky taste of the risotto I ate made me feel transported to a meal actually cooked over a campfire. I don’t know how you capture that taste in food, but this place managed. The drinks prepared were not sugary or made me poor quality mixers. The waiters were attentive but not pushy or hurrying us out the door. It was truly a nice date for my girlfriend and I and well worth the price. If you’re going to a show at the Miracle Theater (which is across the street), I’d highly recommend this spot for a lovely meal before or after.More infoBelga CafePrice: Moderate• Belgian• Capitol Hill•4.7

We highly recommend the duck feast for a phenomenal tasting experience and value. The wine pairing is worth it, too. We'll be back.More infoThe Duck and the PeachPrice: Expensive• American• Capitol Hill•4.3

The quality of the food, the ambience, the temperature of the lighting, all of the small details that have been thought of to create a warm and cozy environment exquisite! Everything about Butterworth’s is wonderful and it should be the main dining establishment for the city!More infoButterworth'sPrice: Expensive• French• Capitol Hill•4.6
