Elizabeth and I were very excited to open our restaurant in Downtown Stuart. After years of visiting our parents our hearts led us back here each time we considered a different location. Our son Taylor (our Executive Chef) and I, both have a culinary education and all three of us are extremely passionate about quality food,drinks and hospitality. We thoroughly enjoy taking great care of our guests. “the Gafford” is named after my grandparents who taught us how to enjoy life, have fun and laugh (especially at ourselves). My grandfather was in the Air Force and hospitality business all of his life and taught me so much about business, cooking and hospitality. I can remember when I was young visiting my grandparents on their farm. My grandfather used to teach me how to grill. My favorite dish to cook together was a giant Ribeye steak. On our menu, that is our signature item and we call it “the Gafford.” Welcome to the Gafford where casual meets upscale.

The food was awesome. Everything was cooked perfectly. One of the best steaks I’ve ever had seafood was cooked perfectly lobster scallops we had the macaroni and cheese and the spinach dip. Everything was excellent. The breads were excellent service was excellent Megan did an excellent job with us informing us on how they agent Cook their steaks beautiful ambience had an excellent time. Cannot say enough would give 20 stars for the food quality and cook to perfection.

Always a great experience at Oak and Ember. Besides having to sit outside when there was plenty of open tables inside it was great. Weird that they close at 9pm on a Saturday night but again love the service and food.

Alex our server was fabulous! Our entire experience was perfect from start to finish. The cocktails and wine with appetizers to start were delicious. The dinners a desserts were perfectly prepared and scrumptious. My mother had an amazing Birthday celebration.
