Walk-in's always welcome! Screen Door is a restaurant that presents itself as a love letter to the American South and the revival of regional cooking. Each day, the restaurant receives natural, local organic meats and produce from nearby vendors. The inclusion of regional Pacific Northwest ingredients into a menu of dishes developed in the south has created a unique flavor profile in Screen Door's menu. Many of Screen Doors dishes draw their inspiration from Louisiana and the Cajun cooking that's found there. These include our world-famous Fried Chicken, Lowcountry shrimp and grits, smoked andouille chicken gumbo and fried okra.     Everything about this place was great! From the service, to our drinks, to how amazing the food was! Our drinks tasted DIVINE! And the desserts were to die for. It looks so amazing and the vibe is just very inviting. Staff was very chatty and super cool. Definitely coming here again!

    The views from the restaurant are amazing! The table was perfect, just what we needed for our business meeting. The management was very accommodating when I had to add additional seating the day before. The staff showed us exceptional service and was super friendly plus very knowledgeable about the menu. We had an excellent time and will definitely be back!

    The food, the people, the drinks, you can’t go wrong. Your dining experience can be adventurous or safe with lots of well known options and maybe something you’ve never tried before, but it’s all made with love and care. You feel welcome as soon as you walk in the door and are taken care of right up until you leave. One of my favorite restaurants in Portland.
