Opening in 1991, the Wairau River Cellar Door and Restaurant is one of Marlborough's original wine tourism destinations. Today the Cellar Door and Restaurant is managed and run by eldest daughter Pip Rose.Younger sister Caroline Rose and her partner Tane Malcolm are the head chefs, preparing a simple and delicious menu focusing on fresh, Marlborough ingredients that changes with the seasons. The Restaurant is a casual environment, a reflection of how the Rose family entertains at home.The Cellar Door is the perfect place to sample the latest Wairau River wines and learn more about Marlborough and its grape growing history.
