Restaurants near Botanical Beach

We enjoyed a delightful birthday "Bruncheon" with group of friends at Alpina today. Although the dense mist shrouded the view towards Finlayson Arm, we sat in the bright picture window and enjoyed the feeling of being in the clouds. The food was delicious and arrived promptly without any of us feeling rushed. We lingered for quite a while over our brunch, but never felt pressured by our very attentive server. We were moved by the lovely finishing touch at the end of our meal: a special birthday message in beautiful script from the kitchen accompanied by chocolates! It was a very nice way indeed to end a happy Sunday meal. We look forward to returning soon to this special place which is closer than we thought to Victoria but feels a world away. Thank you to all the staff for making this a memorable birthday!

My sister, daughter and grand daughter and I had the most wonderful meal we have ever had. Everything about the restaurant was perfectly beautiful, immaculate and relaxing. The food presentation was artistic and delicious. We will return, absolutely and will rave about it to our friends. Thank you so much to Julie for her excellent service and Darryl the Chef for his magical creations. The "mushroom" dessert was also incredible and kudos to the pastry chef. Thanks for re-opening in Sooke. It is a restaurant the community can be proud of.

I have been to Boom and Batten numerous times, find it can be really good or a miss. Our dinner this evening was amazing. Our server was attentive and helpful. The food was delicious. We had the meatballs, gnocchi and the pappardelle duck pasta. We will be back.

Our party of six was served by one wonderful server, Alexis, who, we discovered later, was looking after the entire restaurant single-handedly. We were absolutely blown away. She was efficient, lovely, responsive, and always back in just the right amount of time. She never let us feel neglected or wanting. Her intuition for always providing just what was needed at the right moment was astounding. The food was absolutely delicious and everybody enjoyed all their dishes. It really was a very special meal in a very special location.

It’s lovely to feel like you’ve gone back in time, long before Earl’s, Cactus Club, Milestones, etc, etc, kicked the fine dining experience to the curb. This was a special, tasteful, and unfortunately unique experience that reminds one of what being TREATED special by dedicated hosts, servers, and chefs really should be. This was magical.
