Great spot! This was the first visit for my wife and I and we had a great time. Definitely if you don’t like smoked food, it won’t be for you but everything we had was delicious. Pricey, to be sure, but you’re getting high quality food and it was a great experience for us at the chef’s counter. Staff were friendly and one of the chef’s chatted us up when he overheard us talking about the kitchen setup. Beef tartare was incredible. Highly recommend the heirloom carrots as a side dish as well.

Party of 6 and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Andrew Hill is by far the best server anyone could ever ask for. Thank you for having short ribs on the menu again. Prime rib was tender and tasty, lobster bisque and crème brûlée delicious. Food was beautifully prepared. 8 of us went to the concert afterwards. It was very unfortunate that they were unable to accommodate 2 more at our table, despite early requests. But the 6 of us were very pleased.

Food was exceptional. Flavours delightful and Celeste our server was charming. Love going to Haliburton Post House for special occasions.

It being my sister-in-law laws birthdays they had menus prepared with Happy Birthday printed at the top, wonderful touch! Greeted at the door and promptly escorted to our table. My sister-in-law is a beef farmer and was interested in trying the beef entree, she was thrilled when she had her first bite, she was more than impressed! From the service to the presentation to the atmosphere it all flowed. Attention to detail never lets us down when dining at Heather Lodge.

The grounds of the resort could use some maintenance. But the inside of the building is beautiful. The restaurant has a nice quiet romantic ambiance. I would say it’s fine dining. It was very quick service and extremely tasteful dinner. The servers were friendly and efficient.
