Indian Fine Dining Restaurant with British Flair in the Heart of Mayfair. Benares Restaurant and Bar since its opening in 2003 has been considered one of the finest Indian Restaurants in the city. Guests enter an elegant lounge with hand-crafted India inspired furniture and is complemented by a beautiful pond decorated with fresh flowers, creating a luxurious aesthetic.Benares has 4 private dining rooms, three of which are around the lounge: the Berkeley Room which seats up to 16 guests, the Sommeliers Table which seats up to 10 guests and a Chefs Table overlooking the kitchen which seats up to 8 guests.     An excellent meal start to finish, after the tiniest of hiccups with seating for our reservation. Sumptuous flavors, deliciously presented- from California rolls to tempura, short ribs to fried rice and the must have “GFC.” Beyond our expectations!!!

    We were welcomed by a very professional lady. I think her name was Anna and seated in a nice table immediately ask water and allergies. All the service staff were very attentive,waiter who looked after us named reha was very professional and knowledgeable. guided us according to our food taste all the details.  everything was clean and tidy ( specially toilets! )very professional. Ivo finally approached and asked us if we are okay? very professional manager thanks for the whole experience.  Thanks a lot

    We really enjoyed our evening at the sparrow. My daughter and I dined there after a lovely evening looking at all the lights. The service was very good and we Weren’t rushed through our meal which can happen sometimes when you are a table of 2. The food was lovely , the dining room is very pretty and I would recommend it. Dining in London is pricy but this was the nicest meal we had during our stay.
