- MMariannaSydney •2 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoWe had an amazing experience at La Favola! Food: the food was delicious. You can taste the flavour and the great quality. It is not mass produced. It is made with love and it shows through the taste. Customer service: Fabio was our host. He build rapport with us and guided us through the menu. He was welcoming and spent time to talk with us and explain all about the food the restaurant makes. He made us feel very welcome and we enjoyed our meal and birthday celebration. Vibes: chic yet down to earth atmosphere. Very cozy. Awesome live music. Overall experience: very welcoming, all staff greed you with a genuine smile. Great experience. Would recommend to all.More infoLa FavolaPrice: Moderate• Italian• Newtown•4.6
- PPeterSydney •1 review4.0Dined 7 days agoGreat and very helpful staff, they sadly had to sit us on the bar, but it wasn't so bad. The drinks are heavily over priced and I would just recommend to not bother, go somewhere else for drinks in the area there are better places much cheaper to get a good cocktail. The Orange chicken was by far the best dish, which is a shame for a Bao Bun place when you think about it. The Bao Buns were ok...not great, like Ipuddo makes better ones if you really want to try some. The chicken was dry, the meat was stringy, the pork belly one i didn't even bother eating because it looked bland, and there was no real crackling on it. In the end I recommend you get their burgers and the Orange Chicken as they're far more enjoyable than the buns. Shame really. TL;DR - Drinks cost too much (common problem, not exclusive to this place) - Staff are amazing - The buns are average - Everything else on the menu is better than the buns (the irony) - Ambience is really nice too!More infoBelly BaoPrice: Moderate• Asian• Newtown•4.5
- RRichardSydney •4 reviews5.0Dined on Nov 11, 2024Great pub, love the new space. So much more room now there isn't the dingey pokies room. Menu has changed a bit and didn't have vegan cheese on the night we went. Hopefully sorted out for the next visit.More infoNewtown HotelPrice: Moderate• Gastro Pub• Newtown•4.4
- SSarahvipSydney •2 reviews4.0Dined on Nov 4, 2024Delicious food as always! Looks like they’ve changed their menu up a bit as there were so many new items I’d like to try in the near future. I was really disappointed with the ramen, it seems they’ve downsized, singular piece of chashu pork and not much broth anymore either. Noodles clumped together a lot more than usual, so that was a bit disappointingMore infoShinmachi NewtownPrice: Expensive• Japanese• Newtown•4.5
