Wonderful dining experience - AGAIN! This lovely family owned and operated establishment exudes the spirit and history of Palm Springs. The dishes are tasty and reasonably priced, and the cocktails are generous. The wine list has a full price range of delightful options. Whether "dressed up" or "desert casual," all guests are welcomed with open arms, warmth, and enthusiasm. Predictably one of the most friendly fine dining restaurants in the Coachella Valley.

I rarely give five stars, and when I do it's usually for a grand dining experience that Michelin rates three stars. But our lunch at Spencer's yesterday with a dear out-of-town friend hit a ball of simple pleasures out of the park. The setting is iconic Palm Springs, so beautiful, comfortable and soothing. Our lunch of some of the best split pea soup I've ever had and salmon over a tastily dressed salad (we all had the same thing) that was perfectly cooked to our medium rare request was thoroughly enjoyable. The bottle of albarino that accompanied the food was one of the cheapest on the wine list (a great value), and simply delicious. Service is warm and there when you want it. All in, the experience was just about perfect. Kudos to Spencer's!

A visit to Palm Springs on Christmas means a dinner at Tropicale where you can count on creative cuisine, excellent service, a vibrant atmosphere. We shared the Korean Steak Skewers, that were perfectly cooked. The Steamed Edamame always hits the spot. The tasty Veggie Pizza was loaded with an assortment of vegetables topped with goat cheese. The Carmel Tart was a great ending to a fine meal. Thank you Kai for your suggestions and attentiveness! We will be back!

Had a lovely Christmas lunch at Lulu California Bistro. There was lots to choose from on the fixed menu, including vegetarian choices, and the food was excellent. From the appetizer to the dessert, we couldn’t have asked for a better meal! My polenta and cauliflower steaks were delicious and generous and my friend’s prime rib was cooked perfectly and he said that it was the best he’s had in a long while. Lulu was a great choice!
