Restaurants near Asheville's Fun Depot

My favorite place to eat. I have enjoyed so many meals here. The food is awesome, and eating in the stable area is so much fun. Just think this place is over one hundred and twenty five years old. So well maintained!

We had a lovely time! Grove Park is just beautiful and Blue Ridge was delightful and delicious! We chose this restaurant for dinner because of the Chef de Cuisine - Fred Pryzberowski - whose food we loved when he was in DC. The food was delicious and fresh. The service was attentive and kind. Yes, it is buffet style - but that made the food even more impressive because of how attentive the staff was to keeping everything filled, available, cold or hot, and very fresh! We loved the crab legs, the many salads, the prime rib, the roasted prom (sauce was yummy!) and oo la la the desserts! Bottom line: 5 stars! We will be back!

First time visit. Top tier restaurant and best we’ve experienced in Asheville. Quality, taste and presentation of food is exceptional, as well as the service. The ambiance was relaxed and decor appealing, although noise level was slightly elevated when the room was completely filled. Still great experience and we will return.

Haven’t been to Blackbird for a while, but went last night after a movie. The food is so consistently good! My husband had the pork chop, which was really phenomenal. I was a bit disappointed that duck wasn’t on the menu, but ordered chicken instead. It was very good. Our salads (beet/zucchini and arugula/pear) were great. Service was great also!

We had family visiting from New Mexico and so it was an important meal for us. We weren't disappointed! The food was delicious! Two had the strip steak and two had the hamburger pie. Both were very good. The service was great and the view and surroundings were everything we could hope for. It was a bit pricey but worth it to have a wonderful family occasion..l
