The long established tradition of Afternoon Tea has been wonderfully preserved at Ashford Castle since 1868 - you’ll notice the original silver tea set displayed in the Connaught Room, which was presented to Lord and Lady Ardilaun to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary in 1896. With spectacular views from the comfort of the castle’s elegant interior, take your time to savour every delicious moment. Fabulous Afternoon Tea at Ashford Castle 😊 From the moment we arrived on the grounds of the Castle we were looked after…The Castle was beautifully decorated for the festive season. Our booking was in The Connaught Room & the room is exquisite…the food was amazing & there was a big selection of teas. Loughlan looked after us very well. Would definitely recommend Ashford Castle for Afternoon Tea.

We arrived late but the host was fine about it. Lovely man had a laugh with us. He (John) took our order let us try the 2 sauces as we were not sure which one to order. He was a very polite and pleasant man. The place was lovely except it was cold we didn’t take out jackets off. And the radiators were off. They bring out a deserts as it was one of my friends Brady and they all sang it was a very lovely evening. It was steak night and the value for money was amazing. The food was delicious. We had ordered 3 fillet steaks but they ran out so my other friend had the sirloin. All steaks were cooked to perfection Will definitely recommend and we be going back again
