Restaurants near Hancock Park

We had the tomahawk steaks. They were absolutely perfect. My only complaint is that they would not allow salad or a substitute appetizer for sides. I’ve never eaten in a nice steakhouse that would not substitute a side or two for something of equal value. Assuming this is a cookie cutter chain mentality. Was terribly disappointed about that, and opted not to buy those items separately, but I am not at all disappointed with the food or the restaurant itself.

My wife’s favorite restaurant. She has celiac and can’t eat wheat. Whiskey Cake has homemade gluten free bread but unfortunately today the baker wasn’t able to work. So no GF. So she ordered a sandwich without the bread. When the check came the server told her they comped 1/2 her entree because there was no GF bread tonight. I think that shows how much the management wants a satisfied customer. It wasn’t necessary but we appreciated it.

Food was really good! Menu offered vegetarian and gluten free options. Beautiful views with live music on the patio.

Consistently exceptional. Today friends joined us for lunch. All dishes were prepared to perfection. From the roasted chicken (with the scrumptious sweet & spicy orange glaze), to the precisely grilled coulotte steak topped with chimichurri to the generous lobster mac and cheese- we were all happy diners!!

Chef Matilde and waitress Melissa were wonderful. For dessert, we had the fried Oreos which were out of this world! The tasted light and fluffy and reminded me of what Oreo beignets would taste like. We’re coming back just for this dessert!! Beautiful views as well.
