We had a fabulous experience from start to finish. I booked the restaurant with friends based on reviews and what we were interested in eating, and the food, service, and ambience did not disappoint. It was a real treat!

We had a Superb experience at Alfios for our anniversary. Great details from printed menus to glass of bubbles and a dessert. Service was impeccable, specially Leonor. All work in harmony. The Sommelier recommended the right wine for our food. The empanadas are a must. Creative and delicious. The short ribs were soft, tender and delicious. The gnocchi soft and tender. The bolognese departed a bit too much from the traditional recipe, by making it smoky and sweet it reminded us more to BBq than bolognese. Still delicious but a bit too creative. Anyway a great place, great service, excellent food. Will be back

We sat at the bar and they have a nice happy hour from 3-6. We enjoyed some of the happy hour options but also ordered entrees. The salmon was cooked to perfection. All of the staff was attentive and kind including the hostess, bar tenders, and wait staff. The ambiance with the fireplaces was perfect for a cold evening.

Everything about Alara wowed us! One of my dearest friends was in town to visit and we are both foodies! I had heard great things about Alara from other friends, so we decided to try it. I'm so glad we did. The valet parking is so nice, especially since the weather was snowy the night we dined. The atmosphere is elegant and beautifully done. No detail was overlooked. The service was impeccable. Askia, our server, was delightful...so knowledgeable. Everything he suggested was outstanding. We ordered a bottle of wine to complement our dinner choices and that enhanced the meal even more. Portions are large and perfect for sharing. I took home quite a bit for leftovers which was a huge bonus. If you love beets, the beet and goat cheese salad is a must! For our entrees, we chose the Lobster & Butternut Squash Carbonara and Seared Sea Scallops with Brussels Sprouts & Butternut Squash as our vegetable side dish. All were exceptionally prepared. The Carbonara had a very generous amount of lobster so you got some in every bite! Askia recommended we save room for dessert, and I'm glad we did. We had the Creamsicle Cloud and Chocolate Espresso Torte. The Cloud was the most beautiful dessert I've ever seen and it was equally light and elegant. The Torte was beyond rich and decadent. The Prisoner bottle of wine was delicious with the entire meal, but especially that rich chocolate dessert. Cincinnati is fortunate to have some fabulous restaurants, and Alara is one of them. It is a must for a special occasion or an evening of pampered perfection.

While having dinner at the precinct I was treated with the most outstanding service from my servers Lizzie & Anthony. Making sure I had everything I needed and never without water. I brought in a friend from out of town and each waiter had helped explain and recommend items from the menu. I ordered the Burrow which I have had before and once again was cooked to perfection. This is THE spot to go to for an outstanding steak dinner with unbeatable service.
