Peppercorn’s Grill is owned and operated by the Cialfi siblings, Sal and Dino, Brothers Sal and Dino purchased Peppercorn's Grill in 1989 and opened Piccolo Arancio in 1994. This generation of Cialfi's has added modern creativity and personality to traditional strengths of their Italian roots. Sal and Dino were trained in the art of Italian food at their uncle's restaurant in Rome. When the opportunity to open a restaurant arose, they jumped at the opportunity and opened the first Piccolo Arancio in Rome. Piccolo Arancio was internationally acclaimed within their first year.     Went for an early Valentine's Day dinner and everything was just perfect. Lovely waitress, two excellent appetizers we shared (pear salad and tuna tartare) and both excellent dinners (black sea bass from the specials menu and paella). Molten chocolate beignets for dessert with cappuccinos finished of a wonderful evening. OOH...and we shared a bottle of champagne from the February discount bottle menu...a delightful surprise!

    The experience was wonderful. We were a party of 5, first time for all of us. Our waiter, Lorenzo was very good. He explained how the restaurant operates. The food was very good. We all enjoyed eating out while supporting Hands On Hartford. The vibe was quiet, the room is very attractive. The menu is small and changes monthly with the rotation of chefs. There is an option of a Prix Fixe, or Ala Carte. The servings are generous!! We went right at 5 when they opened since we had been at a matinee at a local theater. I can’t speak to the vibe or noise level after 6:30 or so! For our group we have found our new spot for dinner after we see an early show!! The monthly menu changes fit in with the theaters changing shows!!
