Opened in 2001 La Garrigue is a 2 AA Rosettes French restaurant located just a stones throw away from Edinburgh's famous Royal Mile and minutes away from Waverley train station with stunning views of Calton Hill.
The restaurant is themed around the culinary specialities of the southern regions of France offering hearty dishes such as Roquefort Cheese Soufflé, Fish Soup, Traditional Cassoulet and using the best of local produces as well as French ones. The wine list is extensive and is suitably representative of Languedoc, the largest of France's wine producing regions and has been awarded AA Notable Wine List for years.
Be ready to be transported to France as you come in, friendly and relaxed atmosphere mixed with chic yet casual surroundings.

    It is an excellent authentic French restaurant in an ideal location. The food was first class and reasonably priced for the quality. The service was very efficient friendly and unintrusive. Overall a great experience.

    La Garrigue offers a wonderful, relaxed experience with amazing food. We don't go often but it consistently delivers amazing food, wine and you couldn't have a better, central spot with outstanding views.

    Beautiful food, nice wine and nice ambience! Staff offering excellent customer service. What more can one could ask?! We don't live in Edinburgh so it had been a while since we last came but we'll have to make a point to come more often!

    Welcoming restaurant with excellent ambience. Busy chatter but not loud. Food was excellent with a french flare that made it feel you would walk out to the warmth of the french countryside at the end of the meal Service was attentive but not intrusive Good value for money
