Located just a few minutes from downtown in architecturally rich Monte Vista neighborhood, La Fonda on Main is the oldest Mexican food restaurant in San Antonio. La Fonda serves both the best of Tex-Mex cuisine as well as authentic dishes of interior Mexico in a fun and casual setting with beautiful patio dining. We're open 7 days a week offering our full menu as well as family meals and catering options on curbside. Happy Hour is Monday-Thursday from 3pm-6pm. We offer a full bar with a wide variety of liquor, beer and wine. Saturday's and Sunday's we serve brunch from 10:00am-3:00pm. Our fabulous margaritas are made with hand-squeezed limes and your choice of a large selection of tequilas and mezcals. Our famous patio is heated from the ground up for chilly nights under the stars and lights in the trees.

    Went on a Saturday evening and the food was great. Staff was quick and made great recommendations. Love the atmosphere since it felt like being an a home. Had a great time and will be back

    We are new to SA and it was our first time at La Fonda on Main. We were there for my daughter’s birthday. Great food and great service. We will be back!

    I took my parents and my brother last night to celebrate his birthday, it was their first time and they loved it! Our waiter Stephen was GREAT and bonus points for being an Eagles fan ;) The food always comes out hot, consistent and flavorful. It gets harder and harder to find good Tex-Mex and I appreciate that La Fonda on Main never disappoints. I recently "rediscovered" La Fonda on Main and all of the guest I have taken fall in love! As a matter of fact, last night while we were dining one of my former coworkers who I introduced to it within the last 6 moths walked in!!!
