   Food is very over priced especially for the service that lacked. We are locals and it seemed, although waitress (with a bob cut) was nice, she did not tend to us locals- but tended more to tourists/large groups=bigger tip. I had to go up and get another refill of coffee myself bc waitress did not return even asking if i wanted refill she forgot to come back-& i was patient and waited until it was a bit too long Then my friend needed refill of water and waited a long time bc waitress did not come and check on us-so again we had to go up ourselves and take the cup for a refill of water. Paying high prices at least service should be excellent, it was not and probably bc we are locals. Over all whether local or not lack of service is no excuse.

   Had a reservation that didn't list any restrictions and they are known for their view. Got there and told had to sit in the bar. After talking to the manager and getting the speel they have to turn this by x time and basically a big inconvenience, they finally have us a table with a view. But really started off negative. Review your reservations systems used then and make sure they are in line with your needs. Customers should not be penalized. Get server who was very nice but didn't know the menu. Got our food - turkey club and fish sandwich the bread option used doesn't work and all fell apart, ate with fork Turkey club missing the cranberry component listed. Food just bland and the house chips listed are taro based. Didn't care for them, wish they listed specifically and had options at the prices charged. Wasn't asked for drink refills on soda wouldn't of been nice. Check needed split which ended up being a challenge but eventually got done. Overall not worth the drive for the service and food. A disappointment for the day and trip . Better options that also have a view.

   The view, the service, and the food were all exceptional! If you are driving to or from the summit of Mt Haleakala, this is a must-stop!

   The ambiance the remote Ness of the location is part of its appeal. It's a comfortable, place. View is million dollar view. Food and service were terrific. Recommend the cauliflower piccata.

   Kitchen was very slow getting food out. Had to do onion soup over because they burned it so we cancelled that part of the order.

   Beautiful restaurant that needs to be experienced to appreciate how unique it is. The outdoor dining is worth the drive. The food was very good as well.

   Wonderful experience and great service. We had a great table by the window, which offered a great view. It was a hazy day, but we were still able to get the full impact of the location. There were some live music going, which really improved the ambience. Our waiter was a local who was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave us every detail.

    We came here years ago for lunch and enjoyed ourselves a bit more with pizzas and Maui wine. Dinner is just ok and overpriced but the violin player was really great. The view is always nice.
