Krazy Kat's Restaurant is housed in a renovated blacksmith shop, complete with one of the original forges. It is known as much for its creative cuisine as its whimsical décor, which features tiger-print chairs and portraits of military-garbed cats and dogs. The Restaurant seats 60 between the Main Dining Room and the Sun Room. Serving dinner daily and brunch on Saturday and Sunday. Business casual attire. Dinner reservations are appreciated. We went on a quiet rainy Wednesday night. The greater was on the phone, didn't really acknowledge us and spent about 5 minutes on the call. Not so good. The room is nice, not 5 star, but a good 4. Menu is a bit limited but many acceptable choices. There was only one server but she handled the 5 or so groups with considerable pleasantness. Food was quite good and tasty. They do offer several half portions which was appreciated. Wine list is extensive.

Excellent restaurant. Eclectic decor, great food, and good service. We were staying at the Inn at Montchanin so it was a short and worthwhile walk to the restaurant.

It is a nice place to go. Nothing supper fancy. It was not busy. There were two waitresses working together which was nice. The food was good. I had the crab cakes($45) and my husband had the filet mignon($49). We also had the crab bisque and romaine salad. No complaints on the taste of the food. The dinner was quiet as the room did not get loud as more diners came. Overall good experience.

I’ve been going to this restaurant since the late 90s off and on and it’s always been a wonderful experience and tonight proved the same and I am so thrilled that they still exist and that they are a true staple anytime I stay at Montchanin. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A small, quiet, intimate dining experience, with attentive waiter service, excellent menu and the food is sublime. We loved it and will recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Our previous experience was very positive but this time the experience was lacking. The wait staff were outstanding, but they were in a difficult position. The food was very subpar. We were told that there was a new chef! Hope they get it together!
