Knickerbocker is known for its great Jazz and its 28 oz. T- Bone Steaks and is a favorite among many celebrities including F. Murray Abraham, Chris Noth and Alec Baldwin. Racheal Ray listed us in her "NYC Favorites" and has praised our Shrimp Cocktail, Creamed Spinach, and of course our T- Bone Steaks.
The word "Knickerbocker" itself, says "New York". Upon entering, you’ll know you're in the Village. Its wood paneled walls sport rare turn of the century posters and original caricatures by Al Hirschfeld. Large leather booths line the walls and brass rails accent the 100 year old marble bar, where Charles Lindbergh signed his Trans Atlantic contract.
We have survived the times by using the freshest ingredients from local markets, and offering good solid value and quality.

Entertainment
Knickerbocker has had "Live Jazz" since the days when the village had "Live Jazz". Harry Connick Jr. got his start here, back in the late 80"s. Names like Junior Mance, Bucky Pizzarelli and Ben Wolf now show up on our schedule.We have live jazz on Friday & Saturday nights, starting at 9:45pm till 2:00am. There is a small $3.50 cover charge at the tables after 10:15 pm, or just stop in at the bar for a drink, with no cover.

Rarely does an important family event go by without our celebrating it at Knickerbockers, for years now. The drinks and food are consistently great and the menu offers a wide variety of choices for Vegans to meat eaters, as well as for kids. The atmosphere is lovely but never so noisy as to hinder conversation. With its posters of old New York, replacing many of the Hershfeld drawings, it still captures an iconic New York dining experience. Above and beyond are the waitstaff. No matter how busy it gets, the men and women who serve are always loving and welcoming and very professional. We came with our 14 month old grandchild and they could not have treated him better. ( He did look very spiffy in his blue and white checked shirt and a baby blue bow tie.) Thanks for making our celebration of our son’s birthday so very special.

Rib Eye for four! Had a marvelous booth for dinner, catching up with old friends who are massive fans of The Knick. Our meal - and Norma’s cocktails - were marvelous. Service was particularly strong; superb waiter. Thanks again!

Always a great experience! The food is consistently delicious, and the drinks are fantastic. What truly stands out is the exceptional service—friendly, attentive, and incredibly accommodating, especially for families with kids. The staff goes above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome. Excellent service w/Stephanie, she was patient and waiting on us to see how hungry we were for next course. Always a good experience. If I have one complaint, for an upscale restaurant restaurant/bar, I’d expect “real” cherries in Manhattan or old fashioned not maraschino cherries, I’m sure there are more Manhattans & old Fashioned sold here rather than Shirley temples, my only complaint ever.
