The food and service were excellent as we reliably find. Our only disappointment was the seating, which felt like down a drab corridor as there wasn’t a table in the main area, bright with windows. Reportedly tables are assigned by computer but ask for the main room if you can.

Went back for second night in a row. The pear prosciutto arugula salad (seasonal) and the lemon caper schnitzel are unbelievable. The lemon caper is better than the jager (red wine bacon) schnitzel. We ordered chicken variant and it’s huge easy splittable, but so delicious you’ll want your own.

Amazing experience! Food selections were unique and delicious! The wine list was one of the best we have ever experienced! So many exceptional wines from all over the world! One can tell Johannes appreciates wine! This will be a must visit on all future trips to the area. Great service and fun restaurant vibe.

This is a regular restaurant visit for us in Palm Springs. Our server Berry is excellent and we love being in her section. The wiener schnitzel here is just amazing. Beautiful location in downtown Palm Springs!

We were able to get in an hour earlier than our reservations without any problem. The food was very good including the unique appetizers and I thought the drinks were excellent. We had multiple people attending to us in addition to our main server all we’re very efficient and friendly. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

Read some reviews and thought we’d try Johannes. We were seated right away and our server was great. The food was also excellent. My primary complaint is where we were seated. It wasn’t apparent to me until much too late that we were seated in this purgatory space between a wall and the kitchen. Upon leaving I noticed other side of said wall was a much nicer open dining space as was the area near the bar. Perhaps this is something open table needs to identify? My other comment would be that prices are on the high side.

Everything was very good EXCEPT they charged $5 for bread without telling us ahead of time. Pretty chinsy! It’ll be awhile before I go back.
