   Overall our experience was very positive. We sat in a very nice booth. Our server Celly was very great. The food was excellent. We had a small hiccup on the cook of the steaks. They were attentive to the issue and worked to correct it. We left happy and will plan to return again soon.

   Bar was understaffed during happy hour, but server did her best to keep up. Dinner service was excellent. Food was very good, with the exception of steaks being more rare than medium rare and not hot enough to melt butter. They still tasted very good!

   Joey’s was not up to the level that I expect from a Bartelotta restaurant. It started out with a very mediocre martini topped with a canned olive not the big brined olives that you get in other restaurants. Them wife’s steak was over charred and very tough. A nice char on a steak is delicious but this was extreme. Finally my walleye had almost no seasoning or flavor and was overcooked and dry. This is probably the only Bartelotta restaurant that I have given a bad review.

   Made Valentines reservations for 7, showed up 5 minutes early, and then had to wait to be seated until 7:35. No music was on in the restaurant which made the vibe a little awkward. My wife is pregnant, so we tried some mocktails. The hibiscus wasn’t very well thought out. So much stuff floating around in the drink that it couldn’t be drunk through a straw. She had the honey mustard salmon. It was very sweet and a strange flavor profile for salmon. I had the walleye pike special. The fish was extremely bland and needed lots of lemon and salt to make it flavorful. Overall, we expected a bit more from a Bartolotta restaurant, especially for the premium pricing.

   The food, drinks and wait staff were great but we waited almost an hour after our reservation time that I paid $50 in advance. I know the wifi was down but reservations have been around longer than wifi.

   Over booked and under staffed. Waited nearly 20 minutes for our reserved table. Then waited more than 5 minutes (almost 10) before our server came with water. Tiniest table for 2 I have ever sat at. Great place, but I won’t be returning any time soon.

    It was Valentine’s Day so that’s a factor but… rookie host stand staff and some bad tables made for an unpleasant experience. Food was decent as usual but not for the price. FOH staff needs a lot more training.
