Restaurants in Alsace traditionally have a formal main dining room as well as a casual dining room known locally as a weinstube or brasserie. At the brasserie, diners may enjoy traditional, hearty Alsatian dishes in a warm and relaxing atmosphere. These friendly establishments are immensely popular with Alsatians and visiting them is always the best part of my trips back to Alsace. I opened Jacques' Brasserie at L'Auberge Chez François to bring the tastes and comforts of the Alsatian brasserie to Great Falls.

    The food was delicious. The service was great. The prices were very reasonable. We had Lobster Thermidor, Veal Scallopini, and the Chocolate Soufflé. Everything was perfect!

    Our favorite place to celebrate an occasion - and both food and service are excellent. The small setting and relative quiet allow us to enjoy each other as well.

    We've been dining here for many years, starting when they were downtown in DC. Simply wonderful experience every time. We especially love the Brasserie which is more informal but has a delightful menu. Last night the lobster thermidor was perfectly done and beautifully presented, and the tenderloin medallions also perfect. The Brasserie has a very nice selection of wines by the glass. Another great evening!

    Chef Jaques and L'Auberge Chez Francois never disappoint. The food is authentic and consistently delicious. You cannot find a better place in the DMV for a special occasion or just a simple, yet elegant, lunch or dinner.

    We looked forward to our return visit back to Jacques' Brasserie and it did not disappoint. The service by Angelica was perfect and the food was as well. We enjoyed the Onion Soup Gratinee and the Brasserie Burger with Frites were super. We planned what we ate with a view to ordering the Grand Marnier Souffle, which was worth a trip in itself. We look forward to returning.
