Zozobra is an an annual event that kicks off the fiesta season in Santa Fe. For this event, Murales Road will close from 7 AM–5 PM, from Valle del Sol to Cuesta del Norte for fireworks set-up, and Bishop's Lodge to Gonzales Road from 3PM-11PM. Take Gonzales Rd up to the restaurant and give yourself an extra 10 min.

You have reserved a true traditional Japanese experience floor seating (with no well under the table for legs). Remove your shoes, and take a step onto our tatami room. A garden window view completes this unique dining experience. This is a unique experience, but it can be challenging for those with limited flexibility. I was really excited to eat here after glancing at the menu. The dining room is beautiful, and the menu is creative. Unfortunately, the staff lacked appropriate knowledge and also the willingness to help me create any substitutions to accommodate my gluten allergy. Considering the prevalence of gluten allergies, and the fact that soy sauce is made with wheat, I was surprised and Disappointed that the chef did not use tamari in place of Soy sauce In order to make the menu more accommodating. Overall, I thought it was overpriced for what it was. I ended up with a vegetable stirfry that was way too oily.

We loved our small plates dining at Izanami. The food was all excellent— I thought the cold black ink sesame noodles were especially yummy. It’s a special place, try not to miss it if you are in Santa Fe.

Convenient, we were seated quickly although we were early for our 5:30 PM reservation. Busser was excellent, waiter was a little hard to understand but got our order right and got it to the table quickly. Everyone kept the water coming as we requested -- thanks! Food was great, everything we tried was excellent.

I cannot provide a rave enough review for Izanami. Uniquely superb in every respect. You will pay for the freshest, highest quality ingredients and delicate culinary creations (served in a setting you will never forget) -- and it is worth every penny.
